When I was younger, I adored watching and reading Winnie the Pooh. It’s a childhood classic, and for me, I believe it’s one you continue to carry with you for the rest of your life. At least, that’s how it is for me.
Why? Because Winnie the Pooh is a story about imagination and something we all did as children, play make-believe. Perhaps, we didn’t all have a hundred-acre wood just outside our homes, but did it really matter?
We had our bedrooms, living rooms, gardens, family member’s houses and the local parks. There was always somewhere where we could play with our toys, imagine stories and speak to our toys like there were alive. We all played the role of Christopher Robin and had our own adventures and gang of friends who we’d visit from time to time.
Moreover, I think we all secretly had a favourite from the Winnie the Pooh gang. Mine was Eeyore and Owl came pretty close too.
However, as today is Winnie the Pooh day, I decided to dedicate a very special Bookish Bake to this silly old bear that we all love, and it makes sense that there is one ingredient in particular that I made sure to include; Honey.
The Recipe

I was really pleased with the result of this Bookish Bake. Not only do you get a soft centre of honey that mixes in with the rest of the cake beautifully. It’s such an easy and tasty treat to have on hand and goes perfect with a cup of tea when you’re having a break.
Who was your favourite Winnie the Pooh Character?
And what bookish bake do you think I should try and create next?
