Hi, my name is Hannah and welcome to my blog A Cup of Wonderland. I’m a 20-year-old northerner who is obsessed with books, stories, tea, Disney, star wars and writing. I created this blog in June of 2017 as a way of reconnecting with my creativity something which was put on the back burner during my first year at university.
Initially, this blog was going to be used purely for my thoughts and used sporadically – that is until it took hold of me. My posts are mainly dedicated to books and reading (coincidentally I’m a literature student too) but I hope to become more inclusive on my blog content. Sharing with you all, the other passions in my life through my love of the written word and ensuring that I am as honest and truthful as I can be on here. Which is something I promised myself I would always keep to when writing in my little place here on the internet.
As you may be able to tell from my photograph, I have psoriasis, a condition which manifested when I was seven. Psoriasis is a genetic skin condition which causes my skin to become flaky, red, crusty and painful. My psoriasis was something which I felt ashamed of for a very long time and only recently have begun to talk about it. I hope that I can talk about it more in future posts and explore the stigma which I have found is around such skin conditions. With this, I hope that by examining my relationship with psoriasis this will open the opportunity to talk about body positivity and my relationship with my body as well.
Oh, and I forgot to say I’m a Ravenclaw too.
