Six For Sunday: 2018 Books to Reread

#SixforSunday is a blog series hosted by the wonderful Steph from alittlebutalot. Today’s topic for the series is about encouraging out the love of 2018 books that we read that we would like to reread this year too! Only recently I have started to love a good reread and appreciate it too and there were quite a few that I would love to reread this year.

  • The Extinction Trails By S.M Wilson
I first picked up this series at the start of January of 2018, I think it was one of the first books I ended up reading that year and it was also the start of the trilogy too. I devoured it in a single sitting, along with its sequels Exile and Rebel. I love the writing style, the story and the dinosaurs! This is certainly my favourite trilogy ever!
  • Clean By Juno Dawson
I was lucky enough to receive a proof of Clean before it’s release. I’ve always been a huge fan of Juno’s work for years, ever since I read Say Her Name. But this book really hit me and knocked me hard, I read it in a single sitting and immediately wanted to read it again when I finished. Definitely, something I’d like to reread this year.
  • Ahsoka By E.K Johnston
A book that I’ve actually already reread this year! Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with Star Wars and one of my favourite characters is Ahsoka! The fact that the final season of the Clone Wars will be airing this year made me excited to reread and finally see Ahsoka and what happens to her. Which was why, when I saw that audible had uploaded the audiobook of Ahsoka back onto the site, I knew that I had to get it and listen to it again!
  • The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society By Mary Ann Saffer
Beautiful, heart-breaking and emotive. After seeing the film last year, afterwards, I immediately read the book. I loved it, it certainly has become one of my favourite books of all time so I would certainly love to reread it.
  • A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder By Holly Jackson
After receiving an arc of this, I was gutted that the ending was ripped out and that we had to wait a few months before finally getting our hands on the ending. Meaning that I would love to be able to reread it this year, with the ending in tack and no months of waiting.
  • Naked in Death By J.D Robb
I started this series in September last year and I adore the series. I’ve been reading through them fast and furiously (I think I’m on the 23rd now!) but recently I purchased a physical copy of the first in the series. So I would love to be able to reread a physical copy and get to experience the start of the series again!

    1. Oh, I haven’t read that one! I love a good reread because it can really throw you back to when you first read a book but also gives you a chance to form new opinions.
